The Miami Dolphins had Eric Studesville and George Godsey share playcalling duties last week, calling plays for the team’s offense at the Senior Bowl, and it appears that partnership will carry over to the regular season.
As first reported by ESPN, head coach Brian Flores has decided to name Studesville, the tailback coach for the past three seasons, and Godsey, the tight end coach for the past two seasons, as the team’s co-coordinators.
The pair will serve as Chan Gailey’s replacement after the veteran NFL coach retired abruptly at the end of the 2020 season, a year where the Dolphins scored their most points in franchise history (404) since 1986.
