The Miami Dolphins have lost their second assistant coach in as many days this week, following the end of their 2020 season.
The Dolphins announced Thursday they mutually parted ways with defensive line coach Marion Hobby, who was a member of the staff for each of coach Brian Flores’ two seasons with the franchise.
Hobby, 54, played an instrumental role coaching the Dolphins linemen such as defensive tackles Christian Wilkins, Raekwon Davis, Zach Sieler and others, such as defensive ends Emmanuel Ogbah and Shaq Lawson.
The Dolphins job offered Hobby the opportunity to reunite with Wilkins and Lawson, who he coached at Clemson, during his third stint as an NFL assistant.
