DAVIE — The Miami Dolphins’ two injured starting linebackers returned to practice Friday, increasing the possibility that they’ll play in Sunday’s 1 p.m. home game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Kyle Van Noy, who has been nursing a hip injury suffered in November, and Elandon Roberts, who suffered a chest injury in last week’s 19-7 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. each participated in Friday’s final practice session of the week.
How much they participated is unclear, but later Friday they will be designated as either questionable or doubtful for the Chiefs game.
Both of these starting linebackers are vital to Miami’s defensive success because they have the most extensive experience in Flores’ hybrid 3-4 defense, going back to the time they played under Flores in New England.
