Dolphins leading rusher Myles Gaskin returns to practice

The Miami Dolphins, fresh off their best rushing performance of the Brian Flores era, will have another running back return to the fold this week.

Dolphins leading rusher Myles Gaskin returned to practice Wednesday and is expected to be removed from Miami’s reserve/COVID-19 list. He has been out since Dec. 12.

Gaskin’s return bodes well for the Dolphins offense, which just rushed for 250 yards against the New England Patriots last week. The total marked the highest rushing total for the franchise since the 2016 season, and certainly since Flores became Dolphins coach in 2019.

Gaskin, who leads the Dolphins with 477 yards, could compete with rookie and college teammate Salvon Ahmed, who rushed for 122 yards last wek against the Patriots.
