Dolphins’ George Godsey happy to rejoin team as offense looks to nail down co-coordinator process

MIAMI GARDENS — Miami Dolphins co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach George Godsey is back with the team after he reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 on Aug. 1.

He was seen at Sunday’s practice, according to video recorded by WSVN. Dolphins coach Brian Flores last week only confirmed that Godsey would be away from the team for “medical reasons” but didn’t specify in greater detail. ESPN reported Godsey was being kept away from team facilities for a positive coronavirus test.

On Monday, Godsey spoke to reporters on a Dolphins off day before the team travels to Chicago for joint practices with the Bears this week ahead of their preseason game on Saturday.
