The Miami Dolphins will spend the next few days practicing without rookie defensive end Jaelan Phillips, who suffered a injury that coach Brian Flores said will keep him on a day-to-day status for practice.
Phillips, a former University of Miami standout the Dolphins selected with the 18th pick in the 2021 NFL draft in April, spent the first few days of training camp working with the Dolphins’ starting linebackers.
He had a productive start, showcasing all the skills needed to thrive at that position — pass rushing, edge setting, dropping back into coverage — before leaving practiced early on Friday.
