Elandon Roberts is fully aware the road back to playing in the NFL won’t be easy. But he’s never feared a challenge before, so why start now?
Even though the injury he suffered in December, a game before Miami’s regular-season finale, was his first major injury as a professional athlete, the Dolphins’ 2020 starting linebacker and team captain doesn’t shy away from the uphill battle he faces to get medically cleared for the start of training camp seven months after having surgery on his right knee.
“It’s going good,” said Roberts, who served as the Dolphins’ run-stopping specialist last year, finishing fourth on the team with 61 tackles in the 402 snaps he played on defense.
