New Miami Dolphins cornerback Byron Jones may be off to a slow start in his first training camp with the team.
Jones has been on the unfavorable end of some plays against receivers DeVante Parker and Preston Williams as the top cornerback on the Dolphins defense during 11-on-11s in training camp practice.
But Dolphins coach Brian Flores believes Jones, the team’s highest paid player after signing a five-year, $82.5 million deal in the offseason, is gradually working his way into form.
“I think the heat down here is something you have to get acclimated to. I know when I showed up here, it was something I had to get acclimated to as well.
