There was a three-play series Wednesday during an 11-on-11 period of the Miami Dolphins’ two-day joint practices with the Chicago Bears where quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was under so much pressure he couldn’t even throw the ball away.
Tagovailoa was so bothered by the series he approached his offensive linemen seeking clarity about what was taking place.
“This defense is really good up front. When you’re hitting your back foot on your throws, they’re right there and kind of in your face area,” Tagovailoa said about the Bears. “That forces us, as quarterbacks, to kind of move the way we need to, and it simulates game-like pocket presence for us.
