Dolphins add veteran offensive tackle before start of training camp

The Miami Dolphins added a familiar face to the training camp roster for the second time in a week.

Days after re-signing receiver Isaiah Ford the Dolphins re-signed Timon Parris, an offensive tackle who was part of the team’s offseason program before getting released back on June 14.

Parris, who is 25, will be among the 90 players participating in training camp and the exhibition season trying to become one of the 53-players on the active roster, and 12 on the practice squad.

He’ll likely compete with D.J. Fluker, Jesse Davis, Adam Pankey, Larnel Coleman, a rookie selected in the seventh-round, Jonathan Hubbard and Jermaine Eluemunor for the backup tackle roles behind Austin Jackson and Liam Eichenberg, the team’s 2021 second-round pick, who are viewed as the projected starting right and left tackles if Robert Hunt settled into a guard role.
