A New Year’s Six bowl game appearance is well within reach for the No. 10 Miami Hurricanes if they can finish out the regular season with consecutive home victories against No. 17 North Carolina and Georgia Tech.
Despite Saturday’s 48-0 mauling of Duke, Miami (8-1, 7-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) was eliminated from ACC Championship Game contention — and therefore doesn’t have a path to the College Football Playoff — as Clemson and Notre Dame will square off for the conference title. Nonetheless, a 10-win season and New Year’s Six bowl appearance would both be UM firsts since 2017.
