Cooper Claycomb, Luke Poulter and Leo Goosen, three golfers with great bloodlines, led Circle Christian to the team title in the prestigious two-day Qdoba Tournament of Champions at Providence Golf Course.
Claycomb, whose older brother, Canon, was a four-time Rolex Junior All-American and a two-time area player of the year, is making his own name stand out. The sophomore fired a 6-under-par 66 round on Friday and followed that with a Saturday 70 to win the individual championship with a 136 total.
Poulter, a junior who is the son of Ian Poulter, an accomplished tour pro from England who helped lead the European team to a 2012 Ryder Cup win over the U.
