Move over, Abby Wambach. There’s a new all-time leading goal-scorer in international soccer.
Wednesday in Edinburg, Texas, veteran forward Christine Sinclair netted her 184th and 185th goals for the Canadian women’s national team, surpassing Wambach for the all-time leading mark among all international scorers.
Sinclair’s pair of goals were part of Canada’s dominating 11-0 victory over Saint Kitts and Nevis in Group B of Concacaf Olympic Qualifying.
With a 3-0 lead in the 23rd minute, Sinclair was in the middle of the box when she received a feed from Adrianna Leon.
