WINTER PARK — After two quarters during a Thursday quarterfinal of the Rotary Tip Off Classic between host Winter Park and Central Florida Christian Academy, it was hard to tell which team was ranked and which wasn’t.
CFCA came into the tournament at No. 7 in the Sentinel Super 16 Orlando area rankings, while the Wildcats weren’t ranked with a 1-2 record. But the Eagles were only up three points after a back-and-forth first half.
CFCA showed in the first two minutes of the third quarter why it comes into this campaign with high expectations.
A 3-pointer from Anthony Campman, a blocked shot from 7-footer Imanuel Zorgvol and two 3-pointers from Jamar Houston extended the lead to 12 points.
