Camila is on to the Copa Libertadores semifinal.
The Orlando Pride defender and her new team, E.C. Iranduba -- a club from Manaus, Brazil, deep in the Amazon rainforest with whom Camila signed a short-term contract through the NWSL offseason -- advanced to the semifinal of the South American continental championship with a win and two draws in the group stage.
Camila played in all three of Iranduba’s Group C matches.
The Libertadores run began with a 2-1 win over Colombian side Flor de Patria. Camila started and played 72 minutes. Iranduba drew its next two matches -- 2-2 against Cerro Porteno (the Paraguayan club whose men’s side Orlando City midfielder Josué Colmán played for) and 1-1 against Argentine side UAI Urquiza.
