Cameron Dunbar truly is a homegrown player.
The 17-year-old, who was signed by the LA Galaxy Thursday, is the club’s first player signed from Carson, Calif.
“Cameron has shown his quality as he has developed in our Academy and we are excited that he has signed his first professional contract,” LA Galaxy general manager Dennis te Kloese said in a statement. “We are excited to see him continue to grow on and off the field as a professional.”
Dunbar has represented the Galaxy Academy at various levels, including U-18/19 and U-16/17. He also competed for Albion SC during his time in the youth development system.
