The Montreal game saw several more debuts for Orlando City. Nani and Ruan both made their first starts at Orlando City Stadium; it was also Ruan’s first ever Orlando City start. Carlos Ascues made his 2019 debut, and Dom Dwyer saw his name in the starting XI for the first time this year as well. Rookie Santiago Patino made his professional debut in the 74th minute.

Patino impressed in his pro debut, becoming the fastest rookie in Orlando City history to record an assist just 17 minutes into his first action. Patino is the third player to have an assist as a substitute for the Lions this year, following Nani and Dom Dwyer.
