He somehow convinced Tom Brady to leave the dominant, dynastic New England Patriots and come to the beleaguered, bedraggled Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Without offseason workouts, a limited training camp and no preseason games, he taught Brady a brand new offense and has rejuvenated the 43-year-old quarterback’s legendary career.
In only his second year on the job, he has led the Bucs into the playoffs for the first time in 13 seasons and into the Super Bowl for the first time in 20 years.
All of those accomplishments are amazing in their own right, but I believe the most important, impactful of Arians’ achievements is that he had the guts and the good sense to make America realize women can make really good football coaches.
