WESTON — Former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall remembers the few months before he was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2006 being one of the most exciting times in his life.
Marshall, a 13-year veteran who played two seasons with the Miami Dolphins, begged and pleaded with league officials until, as he explains it, received “the last invite” to the NFL Scouting Combine, where the former UCF standout could showcase his talent.
With COVID-19 causing the cancellation of the 2021 combine, Marshall hosted a combine of his own, so players training at his House of Athlete facility in Weston have another chance to display their talents ahead of the 2021 NFL draft next month.
