After being stuck behind seniors on the depth chart in 2020, an offseason focus on route running and going up for the ball has helped Mizell elevate his game.
“I was very timid last year, but I need to show who I am and show what I can do,” Mizell said after Boone’s Week 1 win. “That’s what I’m trying to do.”
Mizell caught eight passes for 182 yards and three touchdowns during a 41-21 win at Timber Creek on Aug. 27. He pulled in just 13 catches for 173 yards and two scores a year ago.
