Fort Myers Bishop Verot scored on a 35-yard touchdown pass with 48 seconds to go to pull out a 34-33 road win against Bishop Moore in Friday night high school football.
The Vikings (5-3) scored the game’s first touchdown on a one-handed catch by Malik Curtis and added TDs on plays covering 46 and 76 yards to build a 24-7 lead midway through the second quarter.
Bishop Moore (4-2), ranked No. 10 in the Sentinel Super 16, closed the gap with brothers Luke and Heath Hedrick scoring on touchdown runs that cut the deficit to 24-21 with 4:55 to go in the third quarter.
