Atlético Nacional and Pumas will fill the vacancies left by Arsenal and Inter Milan in the Florida Cup, kicking off Camping World Stadium next week in the second day of the friendly tournament.
The tournament was previously sent into flux when Arsenal was forced to withdraw following to a slew of positive COVID-19 tests in the team’s travel party Tuesday. Inter Milan withdrew the following day, citing concerns about the pandemic.
“We’re elated to add two more legendary clubs to the tournament lineup, including the first Mexican side to participate in the Florida Cup,” Florida Cup CEO Ricardo Villar said.
