Atlanta United FC was able to free up three international roster spots this week, as three of its players from Argentina received green cards.
The club announced Tuesday that Ezequiel Barco, Franco Escobar and Eric Remedi have each become permanent U.S. citizens and no longer occupy international spots on its roster.
Currently taking up other international spots on Atlanta’s roster are Pity Martinez, Luiz Nascimento, Anton Walkes and recently acquired centerback Fernando Meza. If the club signs 2020 MLS SuperDraft pick Patrick Nielsen to its first team, he – a native of Denmark – will take up a spot too.
