Apopka’s Mr. Everything Jaquan Lowman commits to play WR at Appalachian State

Apopka’s multi-talented Jaquan Lowman has had trouble gaining big-time college football scholarship offers. Even though he led the Blue Darters to the Class 8A state title game last year as their quarterback, he was limited in his choices at the next level.

Last season was Lowman’s only season at Apopka as the quarterback and he was targeted to play defensive back in college. He had very limited film playing defense in high school, so the recruiting process was frustrating at times for the 6-foot-1, 175-pound Lowman.

Now he won’t have to worry about any of that because the Mountaineers coaching staff has recruited him to play wide receiver and he loves the idea of staying on the offensive side of the ball.
