Still nursing a shoulder injury that knocked him out of a game three weeks ago, Lowman carried the ball just twice in the first half during what was a tightly contested contest at Lake Mary (5-2).
Lowman went on to rush for two touchdowns in the fourth quarter while helping the Blue Darters (5-2) pull away for a 21-9 win in a matchup of Sentinel Super 16 teams.
Lowman opened the fourth quarter by connecting with Quincy Frazier on a 35-yard pass over the middle. He then rushed for 11 yards before reaching the end zone on a 4-yard carry on the next two plays to give 11th-ranked Apopka the lead for good at 7-3.
