Call, who broke his foot three weeks ago, was back on the field this past Friday night against rival Wekiva, and although he would have loved for the outcome to have been different, he was still happy to be back after missing two games and part of another one.
“I was real excited,” said Call, a sophomore who can also play linebacker. “You don’t know how bad you really want to go out until you can’t play and so not being able to play made me feel like I never want to be injured again.”
He had fractured a bone in his right foot and was in a walking boot for nearly three weeks, but his injury healed quickly.
