On the heels of Orlando City’s historic 2020 season — which included a run to the MLS is Back Tournament final and an MLS Cup semifinal match — the Lions are entering a critical offseason.
Executive vice president of soccer operations Luiz Muzzi said the club felt strongly about the group assembled this season, and entered the offseason with the goal of keeping the core of the team intact. True to that goal, the Lions retained 25 of the 30 players on the roster for this season.
Orlando City will be focused on building on the success of this year, adding pieces to support the team that made history this season.
