Weeks after Giovanni Reyna made his Borussia Dortmund debut, the former New York City FC academy standout scored his first competitive goal.
And what a goal it was.
During a DFB-Pokal Round of 16 clash Tuesday against host Werder Bremen, the United States youth international completed a stunning strike. After cutting around a Bremen player, Reyna hit a curling effort from the edge of the 18-yard box. Goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka was left rooted to his spot as he watched the ball land inside the far post.
Reyna entered the game in the 66th minute for Dan-Axel Zagadou.
