Orlando Pride defender Ali Krieger is serving as a team leader, helping keep up the spirit and energy of younger players as the Pride navigate a 0-2-2 start to the NWSL season.
Before Danica Evans ran onto the field for her first professional start, teammate Ali Krieger told the rookie, “You’re a good player.”
“Ali said some really nice things to me, like, ‘You just need to stay confident out there and do what you do best,’” Evans said. “I think that really helped me. It made me more calm to go and start my first game.
