The U.S. women’s national team star returned from the Tokyo Olympics with a left calf injury incurred in the bronze medal match. She returned to training in Orlando on August 20, spending her first week back with the team in low-contact recovery training.
After logging an individual session during the Pride’s off day on Tuesday, Morgan returned to team training this week and joined her teammates in a regular role on Wednesday.
Although the striker remains questionable for Sunday’s match against Houston, coach Becky Burleigh said the team was feeling optimistic about her recovery plan.
“She’s definitely progressing,” Burleigh said.
