Orlando Pride forward Alex Morgan could return to the pitch in 2020 after giving birth to her first child in May.
In an interview with WOFL-Channel 35, Orlando Pride executive vice president Amanda Duffy said Morgan has been involved with the team regularly since shortly after delivery.
Morgan welcomed her daughter, Charlie, on May 7. When she announced her pregnancy last fall, the U.S. women’s national team star originally aimed to resume play by July to compete in the Tokyo Olympics. She got more time to train when the Olympics were postponed one year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
