Bonitto was a second-team All-American last season after finishing with 32 tackles, including 10.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks and a team-high 10 quarterback hurries for the Sooners. His 11.5 career sacks are the seventh-best all-time in school history for career sacks by a linebacker.
Wisconsin featured one of the stingiest defenses in the country thanks in part to the play of linebackers Jack Sanborn and Leo Chenal. Chenal was a presence in the middle, leading the Badgers in tackles for loss (6), sacks (3) and quarterback hurries (7) while finishing second on the team in total tackles (46).
