Aaron Gordon addressed the media Saturday for the first time since being traded to Denver and spoke rather plainly about being dealt from Orlando, saying he’s relieved now to be part of “a great organization.”
Gordon did not add further context, but his comments likely were related to the Magic’s struggles during his time there. The lack of winning was one of the frustrations that led Gordon to request a trade.
The Magic made two postseason appearances — both ending in first-round losses — during Gordon’s six-plus seasons with the team, although he missed the 2020 playoff series with the Bucks because of a hamstring injury.
