Miami Dolphins rookie offensive lineman Austin Jackson is making progress in his recovery from a foot injury that has him shelved on injured reserve.
Jackson, the second of three Dolphins first-round picks last April, was placed on the injured reserve list on Oct. 9 and has missed the last two games for Miami (3-3).
Dolphins coach Brian Flores, while sharing optimism for Jackson’s progress, did not divulge a timetable for a possible return this season.
“Austin is on injured reserve, but he’s doing a good job in rehab and treatment and doing everything he can to get back,” Flores said Thursday as the Dolphins continue to prepare for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams (5-2).
