With its final pick in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft, Orlando City selected Wake Forest goalkeeper Andrew Pannenberg in the second round (No. 49 overall). The selection was the 22nd pick in the second round and concludes Orlando’s draft day as the Lions traded their third-round pick to FC Dallas last year.
Just the second goalkeeper taken in this year’s draft, Pannenberg only saw action one time in his first two years at Wake Forest. He started in a double-overtime win over Clemson in 2017 and redshirted in 2018.
