The 2019 MLS All-Star Game came to Exploria Stadium last night and visiting Spanish power Aletico Madrid showed its class with a 3-0 win over the best collection of players in Major League Soccer. A rainy night couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the sellout crowd, which oohed and aahed all night with the skill on display from both teams.
Orlando City captain Nani held his own during his 45 minutes on the pitch, Wayne Rooney played a deep-lying Andrea Pirlo-type role, and Carlos Vela and Zlatan Ibrahimovic had some nice interchanges up top although the All-Stars failed to score.
