Orange County Public Schools superintendent Barbara Jenkins said Tuesday night West Orange High is close to getting back on the football field.
The superintendent said during a school board meeting the district is waiting for a West Orange assistant coach’s COVID-19 test results. If his test is negative, the team has been given the “green light” to move forward with Friday night’s game against Boone High.
“I will commit to you as soon as we have some indication regarding that additional exposure we will certainly get word to the team,” Jenkins said. “We have plans to moved forward as soon as it is green-lighted.
