CORVALLIS – A force both on the court and in the classroom, Oregon State women's basketball standout Sydney Wiese has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced Thursday.
Wiese is one of three Pac-12 players to make the list. A speech communication major, Wiese is a two-time Pac-12 All-Academic honoree and Senior CLASS Award Candidate. The senior has launched her own web series in conjunction with Oregon State gymnast Megan Jimenez, and hopes to go into broadcasting at the conclusion of her playing career.
Wiese, who has been named to the watch lists for the Wooden Award, Naismith Trophy, Wade Trophy, Ann Meyers Drysdale Award and Lieberman Award, is the Pac-12's career record holder for 3-pointers.
