CORVALLIS – Senior Sydney Wiese earned yet another piece of national recognition on Wednesday, as she was named to the Wooden Award Midseason Top-25.
The Wooden Award honors the top player in college basketball each season, and is selected by a panel of women's basketball experts. The list will be trimmed down to 20 players in February, with a final group of 15 players being submitted to voters before the start of the NCAA Tournament.
Wiese, who was on the Preseason Watch List for the Wooden Award, as well as the Wade Trophy, Naismith Trophy and Lieberman Award, is the Pac-12's career leader in 3-pointers made, and is a three-time All-Pac-12 selection.
