Corvallis, Ore. – Junior guard Sydney Wiese became the 19th player in Oregon State history with 1,000 or more points and the No. 7 Beavers stayed undefeated with a 69-44 win over Idaho on Saturday before a Gill Coliseum crowd of 2,834.
Wiese scored 16 points and now has an even 1,000 for her 74-game career. Only three players in that exclusive group (Tanja Kostic, Carol Menken-Schaudt, Judy Shannon) reached that milestone in fewer games.
She also grabbed 10 rebounds for her first career double-double, and added four assists as the Beavers (7-0) improved to 31-3 in their last 34 games at Gill Coliseum over the past two-plus seasons.
