CORVALLIS - Oregon State men's basketball coach Wayne Tinkle said it has been an "emotional" week as he's seen major college basketball fall under the scrutiny of federal prosecutors.
"You don't ever want to see things come up," Tinkle said Thursday. "We're not a program that enjoys other people's trials and tribulations. We hope that whatever comes out of this, it brings positive change to the game, but more importantly to the profession, too."
The ongoing FBI investigation into college basketball recruiting practices is bound to have long-lasting and unforeseen ripple effects into the sport for many years to come.
