CORVALLIS – You’re not going to ask for predictions, are you? Oregon State men’s basketball coach Wayne Tinkle asks with a smile.
Just minutes earlier, Tinkle rattled off reasons why this team could challenge as his best ever since taking over the Beavers program in 2014. Veterans stars. Talent among the underclassmen. A plethora of big men. A team Tinkle believes has learned lessons from last season’s 16-16 campaign.
“Probably our deepest team since we’ve been here,” Tinkle said.
So we ask: Is there a postseason in this Oregon State team?
“Certainly,” Tinkle said. “Last year we were very far away from it.
