Brandin Cooks couldn't perform his full "The Archer" celebration following his 87-yard touchdown catch-and-run Sunday, so he produced a modified version.
Normally, the New Orleans Saints and former Oregon State wide receiver would mimic shooting a bow-and-arrow after scoring a touchdown. However, the NFL fined Washington cornerback Josh Norman $10,000 on Oct. 5 for a bow-and-arrow celebration similar to the one Cooks has used during the past two season.
Dean Blandino, the NFL's head of officiating, said the gesture "mimics a violent act."
Cooks said while he doesn't want to hurt his team by drawing a unsportsmanline conduct penalty for his celebration, he vowed to continue the celebration in a some form.
