Despite another valiant effort that lasted into the final minutes, Oregon State was defeated in overtime on Wednesday night by Washington, 81-76.
The loss pushes the Beavers to 17-12 (9-8) overall on the season with their last regular season coming up on Saturday in Pullman against Washington State.
With the victory, the Huskies move to 24-6 (15-2) on the campaign.
Star forward Tres Tinkle led the way for Oregon State with an impressive 31-point outing, which included a 10-20 mark from the field and a total of 10 rebounds. A surprise effort on the offensive end from center Kylor Kelley also ended up being in vain for the Beavers, despite the seven-footers’ 16 points on 7-8 shooting and 9 rebounds.
