The Oregonian released its All-Prospect All-State team Thursday morning. It's a squad comprised of the best prospects, not necessarily the best players, at each position in the state.
Throw out this year's statistics and all-league honors, the all-prospect all-state team is meant to be the best collection of future college football talent the state has to offer.
Similarly, The Oregonian All-Prospect All-State Player of the Year Award isn't just about on-field production. The award is expected to take into account scholarship offers, rise in recruiting ranking, performance in both high school games and camps, success in the classroom and ability to handle the recruiting process in a mature manner.
