LONG BEACH, Calif. – Oregon State redshirt sophomore Venessa D'Arpino set Oregon State records in the 100 and 200 meters on Saturday to lead the Beavers at the Beach Invitational at Long Beach State.
In her first 100 this season, D'Arpino won her heat and took eighth overall in 11.70 to break the former standard of 11.77, set in 2016 by her twin sister, Kerissa. Venessa's former best in the event was 12.06, at the 2016 OSU High Performance Meet.
In the 200, she placed fourth in her heat and fifth overall in 23.
