SEATTLE – The Oregon State track & field team continued its strong start to the season at the UW Invite this weekend, notching 12 all-time marks along with two school records.
"Huge weekend for us," began head coach Louie Quintana. "We had a lot of rewriting of the record book."
Greta Van Calcar ran a school-record time in the 5,000 meters on Friday night. Van Calcar ran a blistering 16:46.75 taking 11th place overall, but surpassing the previous top time in OSU history by more than six seconds.
The previous holder of the school record in the 3,000 meters was senior Juliana Mount, and it was Mount who broke that record again today.
