Southern California freshman Talanoa Hufanga, a Crescent Valley graduate and former Oregon Class 5A player of the year, will not be coming home next Saturday when the Trojans play at Oregon State.
Hufanga suffered a broken collarbone last Saturday during USC's 38-35 loss to Arizona State. Hufanga, who had 11 tackles against the Sun Devils, is third on the team in tackles this season.
Hufanga's injury likely knocks him out for the season. His loss cut into USC's precarious depth in the secondary, as the Trojans now only have one healthy scholarship safety.
Oregon State plays host to the Trojans at 7 p.
