CORVALLIS, Ore. – Tres Tinkle was one of 11 college basketball players to get an exclusive invitation from the NCAA to participate in the Elite Student-Athlete Symposium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
"It was a great experience," Tinkle said. "They wanted to prepare you for the next level and life after college. There were a lot of presenters talking about various things like how to brand yourself in social media, money management, the NBA draft process, working with agents and mental health awareness."
Joining Tinkle at the three-day symposium were Kamar Baldwin of Butler, Barry Brown of Kansas State, Tyler Cook of Iowa, Daniel Gafford of Arkansas, Sagaba Konate of West Virginia, Josh Perkins of Gonzaga, Jontay Porter of Missouri, Killian Tillie of Gonzaga, Marques Townes of Loyola Chicago and Lindell Wigginton of Iowa State.
