CORVALLIS — In the midst of the game of Tres Tinkle's short college career, his head coach plotted ways to get the Oregon State sophomore back on the bench.
During only his second regular season game back from a broken right foot that kept the 6-foot-8 forward away from full-court activity for nearly eight months, he churned out a one-man show Sunday afternoon at Gill Coliseum that helped save the Beavers from an ugly loss. He had a career-high 26 points (7 of 18), 12 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals in a 72-64 win over Texas-San Antonio.
